PRAYER:

This petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of the 00.36.0 hectare of land in S.No. 85 of Paruvadhanahalli, Pudhur Village based on his representation dated 12.10.2015.

ORDER

The petitioner made a representation on 12.10.2015 to the respondents, seeking issuance of patta based upon prolonged possession over the property situated in Survey No. 85 of Paruvadhanahalli, Pudhur Village, Dharmapuri District. In the said representation, the petitioner has stated that a resolution has also been passed by the local body, expressing no objection for assigning the lands. Since the said representation is pending consideration, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner before this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. Considering the above facts, though a larger prayer has been sought for by the petitioner, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the pending https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representation dated 12.10.2015, is directed to be considered by the respondent No. 2.

4. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the respondent No. 2 is directed to pass appropriate orders on the pending representation of the petitioner dated 12.10.2015, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Till such time, status quo as on today shall be maintained.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
