PRAYER:

This petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent, in accordance with Section 47AA of the Indian Stamp Act, to revise the market value/guideline value of the petitioner's property comprised in Survey Nos. T.S. No. 4310/35, 36, Tondiarpet, Chennai - 600 081, taking into consideration the location of the property and the representations given by the petitioner.

ORDER

The petitioner made two representations to the respondent No. 2, of which, the 2nd representation was made on 02.07.2015. In the said representation dated 02.07.2015, the petitioner has sought for reversing the market value/guideline value of his property by taking into consideration the location of the property, in accordance with Section 47AA of the Indian Stamp Act. As the said representation is pending consideration before the respondent No. 2, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner before this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representation dated 02.07.2015, made by the petitioner is directed to be considered by the 2nd respondent within a reasonable time.

3. Considering the pendency of the representation of the petitioner dated 02.07.2015, without going into the merits of the same, the respondent No. 2 is directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
