COMMON ORDER (delivered by SATISH K. AGNIHOTRI, J.) Mrs. A. Srijayanthi, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice for the respondents.
Questioning the correctness of the notices dated 12 November 2015 issued by the respondents under Section 7 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905 (for short "the Act"), the petitioners have filed the instant writ petitions contending inter alia that they are in lawful possession of the properties in question.
At the threshold, it is worth pointing out that the impugned notices issued under Section 7 of the Act, are only in the nature of show cause, giving opportunity to the petitioners to put forward their case and as such, no cause of action has arisen as on date to file the instant writ petitions. It is for the petitioners to respond to the impugned notices, if so advised.
Resultantly, the writ petitions stand dismissed sans costs. Connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
