ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed for a direction to respondent 1 and 2 to take necessary steps on petitioner's representation dated 14.03.2022 and to dispense pending salary and other allowances.

2. Petitioner has been serving in Police department as Constable 76/N since 1973. There was an order of suspension on 29.04.1994, in view of a criminal case, which was registered against petitioner in Criminal No.141 of 1994 for offences under Sections 147, 323 and 307 IPC. On 21.12.1995, vide D.O. No.9/95, suspension allowance was enhanced from 50% to 75%. Petitioner submitted a representation dated 14.03.2022, wherein petitioner has sought for payment of suspension allowance during the period 1994 to 1997.

3. At the outset, Mr.Jeevgiridharan, learned Additional Government Pleader, for respondents would submit that they would consider petitioner's representation dated 14.03.2022 and pass appropriate orders, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by learned counsel for petitioner.

4. In view thereof, there shall be a direction to respondents, to consider petitioner's representation dated 14.03.2022 on its own merits and pass

appropriate orders, in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to petitioner, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Accordingly, writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
