ORDER

This petition is filed for a direction to the respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 08.1.2016 sent by RPAD which was received and acknowledged by the respondent on 9.1.2016 and investigate the same.

2. The petitioner herein lodged a complaint as against the counter petitioner on the allegation of threat, abuse and attempt to trespass and disposses the petitioner from her residence which was allotted to her by the Tamilnadu Slum Clearance Board. The respondent, on receipt of complaint, assigned CSR.No.8 of 2016. Though the said complaint was received on 9.1.2016 and CSR No.8 of 2016 has been assigned, till date, no action was taken by the respondent to register the complaint. Hence this petition.

3.I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.In view of the submissions made on either side, this Court is of the opinion that it is appropriate to direct the respondent to conduct enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner which has been assigned C.S.R.No.8 of 2016 and upon enquiry, if materials are gathered indicating commission of any cognizable offence, he is directed to proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible.

5.With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
