Prayer:- Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to direct the respondent not to harass the petitioners on appearance of the petitioners before the respondent police for enquiry on the complaint given by one Mr.Kandasamy pending on the file of the inspector of Police, Villupuram Taluk Police Station, Villupuram District.

ORDER

Seeking a direction to the respondent police not to harass the petitioners on their appearance before the respondent police for enquiry on the complaint given by one Mr.Kandasamy pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, Villupuram Taluk Police Station, Villupuram District, the petitioners have come up with this petition.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police.

3.It is represented that the first petitioner's husband had taken away a 17 year old minor school girl and is still in abscondence. Therefore, on the complaint lodged by the father of the minor girl, a "girl missing case" is pending enquiry.

4. Under such circumstances, no blanket direction as prayed for by the petitioners can be given. If the petitioners are wanted either for enquiry or for interrogation, they can very well be summoned by the respondent police and while doing so, the petitioners shall not be harassed. At the same time, the petitioners should submit themselves to the respondent for interrogation and enquiry.

5. With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
