Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to issue the patta in the name of the petitioners in land situated at Door No.52/40, Plot No.88, C.P.Chitrarasu Street, Anna Nagar (Korukkupet) Scheme, Chennai - 600 021, measuring an extent of 66.50 Sq.M of land comprised in R.S. No.1847/4, Block No.32, Tondiarpet Village, Tondiarpet Taluk, Chennai District, on the basis of petitioners' representations dated 20.01.2022, 10.03.2022 and 11.08.2022.

By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission itself.

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representations of the petitioners dated 20.01.2022, 10.03.2022 and 11.08.2022.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 4, learned counsel for the fifth respondent and perused the materials available on record. 4.

The grievance of the petitioners is that they made representations before the second respondent to issue patta for their property in R.S.No.1847/4, Block No.32, measuring an extent of 66.50 Sq.M situated at Tondiarpet Village, Tondiarpet Taluk, Chennai District. However, the same has not been considered by the second respondent. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

Considering the limited nature of the relief sought for in the present Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to consider the representations of the petitioners dated 20.01.2022, 10.03.2022 and 11.08.2022 and pass appropriate orders on merits for issuance of patta 3/6

in the name of the petitioners, after giving notice to the neighbouring land owners, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
