Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to complete the proposal sent by the 3rd and 4th respondents through their respective proceedings in Na.Ka.No.835/2020/AA1 dated 19.03.2020 and proceedings in Na.Ka.No.2273/2019/AA2 dated 29.11.2019 within a time stipulated fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed for a writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to complete the proposal sent by the third and fourth respondents through their respective proceedings in Na.Ka.No.835/2020/AA1 dated 19.03.2020 and proceedings in Na.Ka.No.2273/2019/AA2 dated 29.11.2019 within a time stipulated fixed by this Hon'ble Court.
2.Mr.S.N.Parthasarathi, learned Government Advocate makes a statement that 323 families have occupied a certain Government Poromboke land and they have applied to the Government for assignment of land.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the respondents 3 and 4 have already made their recommendations to the Collector, based on which, the Collector has communicated his recommendations Vide his proceedings dated 16.12.2020 to the Commissioner of Land Administration.
4.The learned Government Advocate makes a statement that the Commissioner of Land Administration would have a call within a period of eight weeks and that the matter may be posted for reporting compliance thereafter.
5.The said statement of the learned Government Advocate is recorded.
6.Since the Commissioner of Land Administration is not a party to the proceedings, the Commissioner of Land Administration is now formally suo moto impleaded by this Court as the fifth respondent.
7.The fifth respondent/Commissioner of Land Administration is now required to take a decision in this matter within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, but subject to the period, if any lost for the responsibilities associated with the conduct of the General Elections, 2021.
