The learned counsel for the applicants submits that the applicants were affected by COVID-19 and therefore, the applicants were not able to file the written statement in time, thereby the delay has occurred, which is neither willfull nor wanton. Hence seeks to condone the delay in filing the written statement.
3. Learned counsel for the respondent has filed a formal counter.
4. Being satisfied with the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of this petition, this application is allowed and the delay is condoned.
5. Registry is directed to take the written statement of the defendants 5 and 6 on record.
