Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 5 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27/10/2017 seeking to cancel the incorrect patta standing in the names of respondents 6 and 7 in respect of the lands comprised in S.No.205/2B having an extent of 0.09 hectare (0.22 cents), Asamandur Village, Arakkonam Taluk, Vellore District and restore the same to its original position as public road leading from Asamandur Village to Arumbakkam Village.

O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by S.Manikumar,J) Instant writ petition has been filed, to direct the respondents 1 to 5, to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 27/10/2017, seeking to cancel the incorrect patta, standing in the names of respondents 6 and 7, in respect of the lands comprised in S.No.205/2B, having an extent of 0.09 hectare (0.22 cents), Asamandur Village, Arakkonam Taluk, Vellore District and restore the same to its original position, as public road, leading from Asamandur Village to Arumbakkam Village.

2. Earlier, during the course of hearing, it was observed that the prayer sought for is for cancellation of patta, in the name of two individuals and that there is no public interest involved.

3. On this day, when the matter is listed for further hearing, Mr.G.Jeremiah, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the writ petition. He has also made an endorsement to that effect.

4. Placing on record the above, writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs.
