Mr.Babu Rangasamy, learned counsel of M/s.Babu Rangasamy Associates (Law Firm) on behalf of sole writ petitioner and Ms.S.Vaitheeswari, learned standing counsel for Chennai Corporation who accepts notice on behalf of both the respondents are before this Court.

2. Captioned writ petition turns on a very short and simple point and therefore, with the consent of learned counsel on both sides, the main writ petition is taken up.

3. The short point is, the writ petitioner seeks to Mandamus the respondents to accept writ petitioner's property https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

tax arrears in installments, to be precise in 12 installments and the reason projected is Corona Virus pandemic and consequent lock down which is collectively referred to as 'Covid-19 situation'. In other words, slump in business owing to Covid-19 situation is the basis, on which the prayer has been made, but this writ petition has been filed without even making a representation to respondents.

4. Therefore, this writ petition is clearly pre-mature owing to which the captioned Writ Petition is disposed of as closed, leaving it open to writ petitioner to send a representation to respondents. If so advised and if the writ petitioner chooses to send a representation, it is open to the respondents to consider the same on its own merits and in accordance with law. Though obvious, it is made clear that this Court has not expressed any view or opinion on the prayer or the contents of writ affidavit in this order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
