ORDER

This petition has been filed to call for the records relating to the impugned FIR in Crime No.18 of 2014 on the file of the respondent police, quash the same by allowing this Criminal Original Petition.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the investigation has been completed and a final report has been filed before the Judicial Magistrate, Katpadi, on 31.12.2017 and the same is yet to be taken on file. In view of the above development, liberty is given to the petitioner to challenge the final report, if so adviced.

3.This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the Judicial Magistrate, Katpadi, to immediately take the final report filed in Crime No.18 of 2014 and apply his mind regarding taking cognizance of the same and proceed in accordance with law. This process must be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
