Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st to 3rd respondents to produce the details of the land in S. N.130/2 in Mambakkam Village, Vandalur Taluk, Chengalpattu District to the 4th respondent and as a consequential relief directing the 1st to 3rd respondents to take appropriate action by removing the unauthorized construction in the petition property comprised in Survey No.130/2 Mambakkam Village, Vandalur Taluk, Chengalpattu District to the extent of 2 Acres 30 Cents.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The petitioner complains of encroachment over an area of 2 acre 30 cent at Survey No.130/2, Mambakkam Village, Vandalur Taluk of Chengalpattu District.
2. According to the petitioner, a part of a waterbody and nearby government land have seen recent encroachment and no action taken by the official respondents despite the petitioner's complaints.
3. Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader, says that notices have been issued to the fifth respondent and to the petitioner and it is possible that both may be in possession of land beyond their entitlement and even encroaching into government land. Both the petitioner and the fifth respondent are scheduled to be heard on September 24, 2021.
4. Since it appears that some action may have been initiated, the Tahsildar of Vandalur Taluk, the third respondent herein, is directed to ensure that all encroachments in the relevant land are removed in accordance with law upon previous notice to the encroachers. An appropriate inquiry will be conducted by the Tahsildar before the report is furnished to the District Revenue Officer for urgent action, if there is any encroachment.
W.P.No.19418 of 2021 is disposed of without any order as to costs.
