O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying to direct respondents not to harass the petitioners in any manner by interfering with their personal life and liberty under the guise of enquiry in respect of the civil transaction except due authority of law.

2. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent and perused the materials placed on record.

3. No representation for the petitioner. It is represented by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that on a complaint given by one Sudha for land grabbing, a petition enquiry is pending.

4. In view of the above, the respondent Police is directed not to harass the petitioner. However, the petitioner shall cooperate in the enquiry. During the course of enquiry, if any cognizable offence is made out, the respondent police is free to register the FIR and this order shall not be a shield for the petitioner against arrest.

5. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
