Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to make necessary entries in their office records with regard to the name of the petitioner and her children for the purpose of claiming the service benefits of her husband and further direct to supply the copies of service book of her husband for which she has lastly made representation to the second respondent and sent copies to other respondents.

With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The case of the petitioner is that she was married to one Dr.C.Prabakar and during the wedlock two children were born to them. Unfortunately, the petitioner's husband died on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

25.01.2014. During his lifetime, the petitioner's husband has not nominated the petitioner's name in the service register to get the service benefits. Therefore, the petitioner made representation on 14.07.2015 to the second respondent in this regard, since it was not considered, the petitioner filed the present writ petition.

3.Heard the submissions of Mr.R.Malaichamy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Gunasekaran, Government Advocate appearing who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.07.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
