Prayer: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 13.05.2024 for issuance of patta for their 1/5

house situated in S.No.108/1A of No.41, Kariyamangalam Village, Uthiramerur Taluk, Kancheepuram District within a stipulated period of time. For Petitioner : Mr.V.Vijayakumar [in both WPs] For Respondent : Mr.A.Selvendran - R1 to R5 [in both WPs] Special Government Pleader COMMON ORDER Since, no adverse Order passed against the sixth respondent, notice to her is dispensed with. With the consent of both sides, these Writ Petitions are taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

This Writ Petitions are filed to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 13.05.2024 for issuance of patta for their house situated in S.No.108/1A of No.41, Kariyamangalam Village, Uthiramerur Taluk, Kancheepuram District within a stipulated period of time.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 and perused the materials available on record.

4. The case of the petitioners is that they are residing in a hut erected in a portion of land comprised in S.No.108/1A at No.41, Kariamangalam Village for the more than 20 years. Their neighbouring land owners are granted house patta by the respondents 1 to 4. The grievance of the petitioners is that though they had given a representation to the respondents for issuance of patta, the same has not been considered by the respondents till dated. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

5. Considering the limited relief sought for in these writ petitions, the respondents 1 to 4 are directed to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 13.05.2024 and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
