O R D E R
(Made by V.Ramasubramanian,J.) The petitioner, who retired as a Junior Bailiff on 31.7.2011, has come up with the above writ petition seeking a limited Mandamus to direct the third respondent, namely the Registrar General, to address a letter to the Government, for re-fixation of pay.
2. Heard Mr.V.Bhiman, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mrs.A.Srijayanthi, learned Special Government Pleader for the first respondent, Mr.V.Vijayashankar, learned counsel for the second respondent and Mr.C.T.Mohan, learned counsel for the respondents 3 and 4.
3. The second respondent advised the petitioner that the third respondent should get a clarification from the Government regarding the claim of persons like the petitioner. Today, a Government Order in G.O.Ms.No.193, Finance dated 06.7.2015 is produced. In paragraph 8 of the said order, the Government had directed that a clarification issued in the Government letter dated 13.3.2014 is to be cancelled and that the Junior Bailiffs in District Courts be placed at Rs.520020200 + Grade Pay of Rs.2200, one level below that all Senior Bailiffs, with notional effect from 01.01.2006 and monetary effect from the date of the issue of that order. Thus, the prayer sought in this writ petition is answered one way or the other. If the petitioner is still aggrieved, the petitioner has to work out his remedies against this order. Hence, this writ petition is closed. No costs.
