Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records of the order dated 23.11.2012 passed by the 1st respondent in No.Na.Ka.4988/2012/A2 and quash the same consequently direct the 1st respondent to restore the cheque singing powers.

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to quash the order passed by the first respondent in proceedings dated 23.11.2012 and direct the first respondent to restore the cheque signing powers of the writ petitioner as the President of the Panchayat.

2.The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents brought to the notice of this Court that the President of the Panchayat is seized to continue in his office and now the Special officers are appointed by the Government. In view of the fact that the writ petitioner is not functioning as the President of panchayat the question of extending cheque signing powers would not arise at all. As such the relief sought for in this writ petition cannot be granted. 3.Thus, the writ petition stands closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
