..Respondent(s) Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to pay the amount of compensation for the land acquired from the petitioners to the extent of 98985.744 sq.ft by rectifying the arithmetical error committed in the proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 19.9.2022 vide Na.Ka.2603/2016/A7 and in re-determination award dated 12.8.2016 passed by the 2nd respondent in Award No.55/2016 under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition act 1894, in so far as the extent of land acquired from the petitioners as 98985.744 instead of 32995.248sq.ft by considering the representation of the petitioners dated 14.06.2023 in respect of the land, comprised in Survey Nos.10/8,10/11,12/2 and

12/3 measuring an extent of 0.92.0 Hectare situated in Thummankurichi Village, Namakkal Taluk, and District, by deducting the amount already paid to the petitioners.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.06.2023. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the petitioners have given a representation dated 14.06.2023 to pay the amount of compensation for the land acquired from the petitioners to the extent of 98985.744 sq.ft by rectifying the arithmetical error committed in the proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 19.9.2022 vide Na.Ka.2603/2016/A7 and in re-determination award dated 12.8.2016 passed by the 2nd respondent in Award No.55/2016 under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition act 1894, in so far as the extent of land acquired from the petitioners as 98985.744 instead of 32995.248sq.ft in respect of the land, comprised in Survey Nos.10/8,10/11,12/2 and 12/3 measuring an extent of 0.92.0 Hectare situated in Thummankurichi Village, Namakkal Taluk, and District, by deducting the amount already paid to the petitioners.

3. In reply, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioners' representation dated 14.06.2023 will be disposed of by the respondents within a period of eight weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent and also perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the above, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 14.06.2023 on its own merits and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
