The petitioner has filed this writ petition praying for to issue to issue a writ or order or direction in the nature of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's name for promotion as Inspector of Police without reference to the pendency of the O.A. No.1252 of 2001 before the Tamilnadu Administrative Tribunal and promote the petitioner to the post of Inspector.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the prayer https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

sought for in the writ petition has become infructuous and nothing survive in this writ petition. He has also made an endorsement to that effect.

3.In view of the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
