ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 31.07.2024.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he submitted a representation dated 31.07.2024 to the 1st respondent, requesting a name change in Patta No. 134 regarding the petitioner's property comprised in Sub-Division Survey No. 243/17C, R.S. No. 143/17, Grama Natham S. No. 33/1A, Serapanacheri Village, Kundrathur Panchayat, Kundrathur Taluk (previously Sriperumbudur Taluk), Kancheepuram District, admeasuring 2,398.5 sq. ft., and the issuance of a computerized patta in the petitioner's name. However, the same has not been considered till date. Challenging this inaction on the part of the 1st respondent, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the representation, directs the petitioner to produce all relevant records before the 1st respondent. The 1st respondent / Tahsildar, Kundrathur, is directed to verify all the records and pass appropriate orders for the issuance of a patta in the name of the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
