This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to send the sample pieces in respect of finished leathers imported by the petitioner firm, forwarded by the Customs Authorities to him, for testing for ANTHRAX to the Central University Laboratory at Madhavaram and consequent to the test report that would be issued by the Central University Laboratory at Madhavaram to issue NOC to the petitioner firm.

By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The facts leading to the filing of this Writ Petition have been narrated in the orders dated 11.07.2016, 25.07.2016 and 10.08.2016 and therefore, it is unnecessary to re-state the same once again.

3.Mr.C.P.Sivamohan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions, would submit that the goods in question have been ordered to be released, in the light of the Health Certificate no.82/2016-2017, dated 04.08.2016 and therefore, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition.

4.This Court also heard the submissions of Mr.K.Gunasekar, learned Senior Central Government Panel Counsel appearing for the respondents.

5.In the light of the said development, this Court is of the view that no further orders are need to be passed in this writ petition and therefore, this writ petition is closed. No costs.
