ORDER

Seeking a direction to the respondent police not to harass the petitioner in connection with the dispute pending on the file of civil dispute in V Asst. City Civil Court, Chennai in O.S.No.509 of 2015, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police.

3. It appears that a civil suit is pending in O.S.No.509 of 2015, in which an Advocate Commissioner has been appointed in A.No.1130 of 2015. The Advocate Commissioner came to the police station for getting police protection.

4. Under such circumstances, no blanket direction as prayed for by the petitioner can be given. If the petitioner is wanted either for enquiry or for interrogation, he can very well be summoned by the respondent police and while doing so, the petitioner shall not be harassed. At the same time, the petitioner should submit themselves to the respondent for interrogation and enquiry.

5. With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is closed.
