Mr.A.Mohamed Mushtak, Government Advocate COMMON ORDER Mr.A.Mohamed Mushtak, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. Heard both. By consent, the writ petitions are taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioners have filed these writ petitions seeking a direction to the respective second respondent to receive their applications for grant of auto rickshaw permits and consider the same.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that there is a need for more auto rickshaws on account of the fact that several existing permit holders have stopped their operations and surrendered their permits.

4. In any event, as the petitioners' applications have not been received by the respective second respondent, without going into the merits of the case as projected by the petitioners, the writ petitions are disposed of with a direction to the respective second respondent to receive the petitioners' applications dated 4.5.2016, consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date, on which, the applications are presented, along with the copy of this order. No costs.
