ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.S. RAMESH, J.) Claiming that the petitioner herein was in love with the detenu namely Sanjay Kumar, aged about 25 years, and their marriage was fixed in spite of the objection of the third and fourth respondents and that he had suddenly gone missing from 11.04.2025, the petitioner's mother had given a complaint to the second respondent Police on 25.04.2025 and the same was registered in CSR No.144/2025 dated 27.04.2025. Likewise, the third respondent also had given a complaint about his missing son to the first respondent Police, which was registered in FIR No.288/2025 dated 13.04.2025. Since there was no further progress in the petitioner's complaint, the present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed.

2. In the affidavit filed in support of the present Writ Petition, there are no averments to the effect that the detenu is in illegal custody of the third and fourth respondents. While that being so, it would not be appropriate to

entertain the prayer sought for in this Writ Petition. However, if the second respondent Police is directed to investigate the complaint and file a final report, the ends of justice would be secured.

3. Accordingly, there shall be a direction to the second respondent herein, to expedite the investigation and file a final report, as expeditiously as possible.

4. With the above direction, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed. No costs.
