RESPONDENTS Prayer: The Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the 2nd respondent vide Roc. No.9595/A1/2015 dated 6.11.15 in respect of non inclusion of the petitioner's name in the panel of Deputy Tahsildar for the year 2015 in Tiruvarur District and to quash the same in so far as the petitioner is concerned and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to include the petitioner's name in Sl.No.2 above Ilangovan and below A.Jayabaskar for the year 2015 in the panel of Deputy Tahsildars for the year 2015 vide proceedings No.Roc.9595/ A1/2015 dated 6.11.2015.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. Though the writ petition has been filed to quash the order of the second respondent vide Roc. No.9595/A1/2015 dated 6.11.15 in respect of the panel prepared for the post of Deputy Tahsildar for the year 2015 and for direction, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it will be suffice to issue direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 20.11.2015.
3. Mr.S.Vijayakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner joined in the Revenue Department as a Telex Operator on 08.08.1996. In the year 2009, he was promoted to the post of Junior Assistant and in the year 2011, he was promoted as Assistant.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that the petitioner is entitled to be promoted to the post of Deputy Thasildar and he was also recommended by the Thasildar, Thiruthuraipoondi. While so, the impugned order has been passed by promoting the junior of the petitioner as Deputy Thasildar. Aggrieved by the order of the second respondent, the petitioner has preferred an appeal to the first respondent on 20.11.2015.
5.Heard Mr.S.Vijayakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.N.Srinivasan, learned counsel, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court, considering the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner and without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 20.11.2015 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
