The petitioner, who apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 273, 328 of IPC and Sections 7(1) and 20(2) of Cigarette & other Tobacco Products Act, 2003 in Crime No.180 of 2024, on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that on 07.05.2024, based on the secret information the respondent police went to the house of the petitioner and found that he was in possession of 743.95 Kgs of illegal contraband and same were seized. Hence the case.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that about 743.950 Kgs of illegal contraband viz., Hans - 569.400, Vimal Pan Masala - 135.550 Kgs, V1 Tobacco-30Kg, Cool Lip-9 Kgs was recovered from the T.V.THAMILSELVI, J.

CRL.O.P.No.14626 of 2024 dsn petitioner's house and he has got one previous case. He further submits that investigation in this case is not completed. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering huge quantity of contraband involved, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
