Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.M.Muthukumar, learned Government Advocate, who took notice for the respondent and with their consent, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking direction to the respondent herein to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application for renewal of Motor Cab Permit dated 11.09.2013.

It is the case of the petitioner that he is the owner of the vehicle bearing Registration No.TN.27.X.2173 which is covered by Motor Cab Permit and the same has been issued by the respondent upto 28.9.2013. As per section 81 of Motor Vehicles Act, the petitioner made an application for renewal in Form P.R.A. together with prescribed fees and also tax for five years on 11.9.2013, but till date, the said application was not considered by the respondent.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the renewal application of the petitioner for Motor Cab permit, dated 11.09.2013 is kept still pending. He further submitted that it would be suffice if the petitioner's application for renewal of Motor Cab Permit dated 11.09.2013 is considered by the respondent within the time frame fixed by this Court.

5. Learned Government Advocate has no objection for granting such relief to the petitioner.

6. In view of the same, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the application for renewal of Motor Cab Permit dated 11.09.2013 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, if the said application is not disposed of earlier, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
