ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Special Judge for Prevention of Corruption Act Cases, Cuddalore, to expedite the trial of the case in Spl.C.C.No.7 of 2015 in Crime No.10 of 2013 pending on his file and dispose of the same at the earliest.

2. Since the prayer made in this petition is very limited, I am not dealing with the other averments made in the affidavit filed in support of the petition.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that in Spl.C.C.No.7 of 2015, totally there are 13 witnesses and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

so far, only one witness was examined and the said case has been posted on 7.9.2016 for examination of L.W.2.

4. In view of the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Special Judge for Prevention of Corruption Act Cases, Cuddalore, to expedite the trial of the case in Spl.C.C.No.7 of 2015 in Crime No.10 of 2013 pending on his file and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possibly, preferably, within a period of eight months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
