This petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to give permission to sponsor the Nachiyar Thirukkolam on 20.12.2015 and Sorkkavasal function on 21.12.2015 in the 2nd respondent temple by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 22.11.2015. For Petitioner : Mr.R.Rajesh Vivekananthan, For Respondents : Mr.P.Sanjay Gandhi, Addl. Government Pleader

ORDER

The petitioner has come forward to file the present writ petition seeking permission to sponsor the Nachiyar Thirukkolam and Sorkkavasal function proposed to be held on 20.12.2015 and 21.12.2015 respectively, in pursuance of the representation made by the petitioner on 22.11.2015.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents. Learned Additional Government Pleader on instructions submitted https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

that the above said functions should be conducted under the aegis of the respondents. However the petitioner can participate in the said functions and his sponsorship would also be accepted.

3. The said statement of the learned Additional Government Pleader is recorded and in view of the same, the present writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
