O R D E R

The petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition seeking for writ of mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 06.02.2010. 2.According to the petitioner, he was appointed as constable in the police department and he was dismissed from service on 05.08.2009. Aggrieved by the order he preferred an appeal before the respondent on 06.02.2010. Since, no action was taken, he sent a reminder on 12.10.2015, despite the same, no order has been passed. Hence, the petitioner filed the present writ petition.

3.Heard the submissions of Mr.P.Sam Japa Singh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.L.Mahendran, Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent to dispose of the appeal and the representation/reminder of the petitioner dated 06.02.2010 and 12.10.2015 respectively and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
