O R D E R

The petitioner herein, apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent for the alleged offence under Sections 420 and 506(1) of IPC in Crime No.42 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The allegation against this petitioner is that this petitioner received two cars from the defacto complainant, bearing Registration Nos.TN-20DC-6229 and TN-20-DA-2282, under the pretext of paying the rent and failed to pay the rent. Further it revealed that this petitioner has pledged the cars and taken away the money without the consent of the defacto complainant. Hence the case.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks adjournment to put forth his arguments.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing the respondent reported that the two cars of the defacto complainant worth about Rs.18/- lakhs were taken away by the petitioner and pledged the same 2/4

without the consent of the defacto complainant. He further submitted that so far no amount has been recovered from the petitioner and the cars have also not been recovered. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5.Considering the fact that the two vehicles have been clandestinely taken away by the petitioner and so far the cars and money were not recovered, granting of anticipatory bail to the petitioner will hamper the investigation. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
