Respondent This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to conclude the disciplinary proceedings and pass final order on the abovesaid disciplinary proceedings in Na.Ka.No.3586/A1/2013 dated 19.9.2013. ORDER

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to direct the respondent to conclude the disciplinary proceedings and pass final orders on the disciplinary proceedings in Na.Ka.No.3586/A1/2013 dated 19.9.2013.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner contended that on account of certain allegations, a charge memo was issued against the writ petitioner in proceedings dated 19.9.2013. The writ petitioner has submitted his explanation, denying the charges on 29.10.2013. An Enquiry Officer was appointed to conduct the departmental domestic enquiry on 4.2.2014.

3. Meanwhile, the order of suspension was revoked and the petitioner had joined duty. Subsequently, the order of appointment of an Enquiry Officer was cancelled and thereafter, a new Enquiry Officer was appointed to continue the enquiry against the writ petitioner. However, the enquiry report has not yet been finalised by the Enquiry Officer.

4. The counter filed by the respondent, in this regard, states that the enquiry is almost completed and the Enquiry Officer is going to file his Final Report.

5. In this view of the matter, the respondent is directed to conclude the enquiry in all respects in accordance with the rules and pass final orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
