With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as driver in the respondent corporation on 10.01.1986 and his retirement falls on 31.12.2015. However, in the meanwhile, the second respondent passed an order imposing punishment. Challenging the order, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the first respondent on 24.04.2014, since the appeal was not considered, the petitioner filed the present writ petition. 3.Heard the submissions of Mr.Soundar Raj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and M/s.P.Kannan Kumar learned counsel for the respondents who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the first respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 24.04.2014 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner. 5.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
