This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the C.C.No.1130 of 2013 pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Tambaram.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the matter has been settled between the parties. However, the C.C.No.1130 of 2013 is pending till today.

3. Considering the above facts and circumstances, the respondent/ complainant is none other than father-in-law of the first petitioner. It is also seen that the first petitioner got divorce from her husband, namely the son of the respondent. He also got married and living separately with other wife. The petitioner is also married and living happily with other person. It is also seen that the third petitioner was already died. Hence, no useful purpose will be served in keeping the Calendar Case pending. Therefore, this Court is inclined to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.67 of 2013.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed. The proceeding in C.C.No.67 of 2013 is quashed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
