This petition has been filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.60 of 2022, pending on the file of the 1st respondent police.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Public Prosecutor (Puducherry), appearing on behalf of respondent police submitted that the investigation was completed and final report was filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Puducherry on 11.07.2022 and that the final report is yet to be taken on file.

In the light of the above development, there is no scope for interfering with the FIR at this stage and hence, there shall be a direction to the learned judicial Magistrate No.I, to act upon the final report filed by the 1st respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If ultimately, the Court below takes cognizance of the offence against the petitioner and summon is issued to the petitioner and the 2/4

petitioner is aggrieved by the same, it is left open to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. 4.

This Criminal Original petition is disposed of in the above terms.
