ORDER

The petitioner/4th accused in crime No.165 of 2025 filed this petition seeking to complete the investigation within a time frame. 2.The learned Govt. Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the first respondent submits that FIR registered against the petitioner and 4 others. Nagendiran/A1 was a notorious rowdy of North Madras. When he was in confinement, he used to issue instructions to the other accused and extortion was continuing. Now, Nagendiran is no more. The petitioner/A4 is stated to be an active member of Nagendiran's group. Investigation is in progress. Further, he submitted that against the petitioner, three more cases of a similar in nature are pending. Hence, in a comprehensive manner, investigation to be conducted. 3.Considering the above submissions and complicity of the case, this Court is not inclined to give any specific direction. in any event, the respondent police are directed to complete the investigation preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the criminal original petition is disposed of.
