The petitioner is the complainant in Crime No.317 of 2022, pending investigation on the file of the Inspector of Police, Shevapet Police Station, Salem.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that a complaint lodged in the month of December 2022 regarding theft of silver articles. So far there is no progress in the investigation. Since the worth of stolen articles is more than Rs.3 Crores, transfer the investigation to the specialised agency, i.e., the 3rd respondent. 3.
The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that the defacto complainant's brother-inlaw is the suspect. Investigation has already been completed and the materials recovered during the course of investigation, which are necessary for trial, will be produced before the Court as early as possible along with final report. Also submitted that the final report will be filed within a period of two months.

Recording the undertaking, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with direction to the 2nd respondent to file the final report 2/4
within a period of two months. Consequently, the connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
