ORDER
The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 379 and 452 of IPC, in Crime No.276 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

The case of the prosecution is that the fingerprint register from the Joint Sub-Registrar Office No.1, Kallakurichi was unauthorizedly taken out of the office on 03.07.2019 after 6:00 PM and returned only on 04.07.2019 at around 10:00 AM, allegedly by petitioner and other accused persons.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent; that he has been falsely implicated in this case; that the petitioner has no bad antecedents and in any case, custodial interrogation of the petitioner is not required and sought anticipatory bail.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police, reiterated the prosecution case and submits that petitioner is arrayed as second accused and also considering the gravity of the offences, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5.
Considering the representations made by both sides and considering the nature of offences charged against the petitioner and also 2/4
considering that offenses are serious in nature, this Court is declined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
6. According, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. .
