O R D E R

The case of the petitioners is that they have been working as Contract employees in the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board from the year 2000, under the control of the third respondent. The similarly placed persons were brought under the regular scale of pay. However, the petitioners claim was not considered, therefore, they submitted a representation dated 07.11.2015. Since, no positive orders have been passed, the petitioners have come up with the present writ petition.

2.Heard the submissions of MS.T.Hemalatha, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.M.Fakkir Mohideen, learned counsel appearing for the respondents and who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

3.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioners and without going into the merits of the same, directs the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 07.11.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioners. 4.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
