The petitioner was initially appointed as Junior Assistant in Town Panchayat Services on 26.04.1971. The petitioner was promoted as Executive Officer Grade-II and thereafter as Executive Officer Grade-I. The petitioner on attaining the age of superannuation retired from service on 31.12.2004. It is the grievance of the petitioner that he has not been paid eligible pay in accordance with the Rules.

2. The petitioner having found that in similar circumstances, his junior by name Thiru.R.Jayapaul was given applicable pay by the Government vide Letter No.23901/TP-1/2013 dated 26.05.2014, submitted a representation on 26.06.2014. The representation is now pending on the file of the first respondent. The present request is to direct the first respondent to consider the said representation on merits.
3. The first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner, dated 26.06.2014 on merits and as per law and in the light of the Government Letter No.23901/TP-1/2013, dated 26.05.2014. Such exercise shall be completed with in a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
