The Writ Petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition to direct the first respondent to consider and pass orders on merits on the representation submitted by him on 14.11.2015. 2.In respect of the service matters of the employees of the

Co-Operative Societies, the Joint Registrar is the competent authority under section 153 of the Tamil Nadu Co-Operative Societies Act and the Deputy Registrar of the Co-Operative Societies is incompetent to deal with the service matters and further in relation to the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the employees of the Societies.

3.All matters relating to the service conditions of the employees of the Co-operative Societies have to be dealt with by the Joint Registrar of the Tamil Nadu Co-Operative Societies and a Notification was also issued by the Government in this regard delegating the powers of the Registrar to the Joint Registrar of the Co-operative Societies.

4.This being the factual position, the representation submitted by the writ petitioner to the Deputy Registrar of the Co-Operatives in relation to certain disciplinary proceedings and the cases cannot be considered in this Writ Petition. It is left open to the writ petitioner to file appropriate petition before the competent authorities in order to redress his grievances.

5.Thus, no further adjudication is required to be considered in this Writ Petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
