Respondents PRAYER:- Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent No.2 to open the edit window option to change the choice of the city of exam centre for the NEET PG Exam based on the representation dated 11.08.2021 and further direct the respondent No.2 to allow the petitioner to appear in the NEET PG 2021 from Chennai, Tamil Nadu instead of Indore, Madhya Pradesh by considering the prevailing COVID-19 situation. This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to permit the petitioner to appear for the NEET PG 2021 examination from Chennai, Tamil Nadu instead of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2. The grievance expressed by the petitioner to the effect that she has relocated her residence from Madhya Pradesh to Tamil Nadu and has settled down in her matrimonial home, can never be a reason for this Court to give a direction to the respondents to permit the petitioner to change her examination centre for writing the examination. These are matters which involve a lot of administrative work and already everything has been finalized and the examination is going to be held on 11.09.2021. At this stage this Court cannot issue directions as sought for by the petitioner since it will open floodgates and every other person will approach this Court and seek for similar directions. It may be a hardship for the petitioner to go over to Madhya Pradesh and write the examination. That by itself cannot be a ground to give a direction to the second respondent to permit the petitioner to write the examination from Chennai. Such direction can never be issued by this Court in exercise of its jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.
