O R D E R

The petitioner herein is the fourth accused in CC No.257 of 2022 on the file of Judicial Magistrate I, Kanchipuram, before this Court to quash the final report on the ground that there are several lapses in the prosecution case and the contradictory statements of the witnesses will not stand judicial scrutiny in the trial.

2. Though some points were raised by the petitioner's counsel, they are relevant only at the time of trial and it cannot be treated as for appreciating the quash petition, and hence this petition is dismissed with a direction to the Trial Court to complete the trial as expeditiously as possible.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) states that prosecution relies upon eight witnesses and summons were issued to L.W.1 to L.W.3 for appearance on 21.11.2024.

4. In view of the above facts, the first respondent is directed to marshal the witnesses L.W.1 to L.W.3 on the next hearing date and the 2/4

thereafter enquire the remaining witnesses on subsequent hearing dates, to enable the Trial Court to complete the trial preferably within a period of four months.

5. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
