O R D E R

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 120(B), 409, and 420 of IPC and Section 5 of Tamil Nadu Protection of Interest of Depositors (In Financial Establishment) Act, 1997 and Section 21(3) of the Banning of Unregulaed Deposit Schemes Act, 2019 (BUDS Act 2019) in Crime No.1 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. According to the prosecution, from 180 depositors, a sum of Rs.3,13,25,405/- was collected by an unregistered chit firm in which the petitioner was working as the Managing Director and was actively collecting deposits.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that totally 180 depositors have lost their money and this petitioner, who directly collected deposits from the public, is absconding. 2/4

4.Considering the role of the petitioner in the crime, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
