The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations and permit him to join duty as Post Graduate Teacher (Maths) in Government Higher Secondary School, Kovilur, Tiruvannamalai District.

2. Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that due to efflux of time, the relief sought for herein has become infructuous and hence, nothing survives for adjudication.
3. In view of the above, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner sought liberty to the petitioner to approach the respondent authorities for any other relief.
4. Granting such liberty to the petitioner, this writ petition stands closed. No costs.
