ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by N.MALA, J.,] This writ petition is filed seeking a mandamus to direct the respondents to grant emergency leave without escort for 15 days to the convict Saravanan, S/o.Loganathan (Convict No.8338), now confined at Central Prison-I, Puzhal, Chennai.

2. The petitioner is the mother of the life convict. According to the petitioner, she is suffering from blood cancer and is bed ridden. The petitioner has given a representation to the respondents on 03.05.2025 seeking emergency leave for the life convict.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents. Page Nos.2/4

4. Considering the fact that petitioner's representation is pending before the respondents, a direction is given to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.05.2025 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
