This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to permit the petitioner to be considered as a general category candidate based on his overall merit rank in the 1st round of counselling for seats in the 4th Respondent institution reserved for Pondicherry residents for admission in MBBS for the year 2020-2021 and on that basis allot him the seat.
