Respondents This Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying this Court to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to shift the electricity meter situate at No.52 Chandra Yogi Samadhi Street (Near Samiyar Madam), Perambur, Chennai 600 012 in respect of the petitioners portion and other tenants to some other place to be fixed by the 1st respondent after removing the seal put up by the 2nd respondent and reseal the premises after shifting the electricity meter.

Heard Mr.R.Ramanlaal, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr. P.R.Dhilip Kumar, learned counsel for respondent Nos.1 and 2
and Mr. P.V.Selvakumar, learned counsel for respondent Nos.2 and 3 and with their consent, the writ petition is taken up for disposal.
2. The petitioner seeks for a direction to the first respondent to shift the electricity meter which has been installed in the premises bearing Door No.52, Chandra Yogi Samadhi Street, (near Samiyar Madam), Perambur, Chennai in respect of the portion of the petitioner and also tenants.
3. The petitioner would admit that the building has been sealed on account of the fact that there is an unauthorised construction. The petitioner now seeks for shifting of the electricity meter from the existing place.
4. The learned counsel for the Corporation of Chennai on instructions submitted that they are willing to consider the petitioner's request and remove the seal only for the purpose of shifting the electricity meter and after the first respondent carried out the shifting process, the building will be sealed once again.
5. The petitioner is agreeable for such course being adopted.
6. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by directing respondents 2 and 3 to de-seal the premises only for the purpose of shifting the electricity meter which shall be carried out by the first respondent department within a period of three days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After the shifting is completed, the respondents 2 and 3 shall seal the building. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
