The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to lay down guidelines in exercise of its powers under Section 79(2) (c) read with Section 87(2) (zg) of the Information Technology Act to ensure that any censorship on social media is carried out strictly in accordance with the provisions of Article 19 of the Constitution. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the first respondent to lay down guidelines to ensure that any censorship on social media is carried out strictly in accordance with the provisions of Article 19 of the Constitution of India, already detailed guidelines/ provisions are there in the Information Technology Act. Hence, no further adjudication is necessary in this writ petition.
